With 28 minutes on the clock, Joaquin Prats commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 28th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. The goalkeeper, Rolando Noboa, was totally fooled by Brujas KV's Torrey Molloy, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Inge Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Eliseo Mina fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Eliseo Mina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brujas KV getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marco Chuse hit a great ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorvald Egfjord in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Brujas KV made a substitution. Óli Manfredi replaced Torrey Molloy. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luz Tejedor was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorvald Egfjord in the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Peru booed when Brujas KV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óli Manfredi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Apolo Abancens made in the 74th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Thorvald Egfjord. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorvald Egfjord in the 75th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaineus Giannacopulos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inge Marin. Brujas KV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thorvald Egfjord went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Óli Manfredi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Marin having to interfere. Antonio Tenorio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Inge Marin made a huge save. Brujas KV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
