El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nano Mitrashkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nano Mitrashkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The corner ended in Nano Mitrashkov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. After 60 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzo Ivanov in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzo Ivanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzo Ivanov in the 84th minute of play. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. In the 96th minute, Paolo Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. DARAS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of El Salvador for a fine match.
