Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 7th minute of play forced Gimnasia LP's goalkeeper Tiran Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benvide Ponte took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tiran Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of play. Tiran Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 18th minute of play. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Facundo Cadaval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiran Piedra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benvide Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Daniel Havier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Tiran Piedra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benvide Ponte in the 55th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Sindo in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Joel Gaona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiran Piedra. That made the score 2-3 after 61 minutes of play. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Benvide Ponte notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gimnasia LP made a substitution. Angelino Urdin replaced William Costa. When Amado Sindo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Gimnasia LP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Sindo couldn't finish the play. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
