When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Fernandez made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Henrique Arruda however easily saved by the left post. In the 64th minute, Claudinei Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Yuri Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Valladares in the 75th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Fernandez in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Valladares in the 86th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Fernandez in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. After 91 played minutes, MEL - ULTIMATE's Wiliam Marinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MEL - ULTIMATE reached it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MEL - ULTIMATE throughout the match.
