Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yağızhan Korgan in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, La Vieja Guarida FC's Faustino Lizar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Erroman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Yağızhan Korgan came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yağızhan Korgan's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. La Vieja Guarida FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raul Quinteros took the corner. The corner ended in Yağızhan Korgan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. After 40 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Ereinotz in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored La Vieja Guarida FC's protests and gave Mihăiţă Iuonaș a yellow card for diving instead. Mihăiţă Iuonaș kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Chile booed when La Vieja Guarida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Iuonaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Orlando Casaus hit a great ball. Yağızhan Korgan in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 86 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yağızhan Korgan. Apolo Erroman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Manzanedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the La Vieja Guarida FC defense, Jose Manzanedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Erroman. The La Vieja Guarida FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Erroman should have stopped the shot. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Raul Quinteros scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Vieja Guarida FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
