Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Torres in the 20th minute of play. Jorge Errando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Torres in the 23rd minute of the match. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jorge Errando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador.

Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Errando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, Facundo Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Facundo Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Sancho during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Caner Parshan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
