The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Mcdonald got free with Albano Unzueta in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albano Unzueta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 11th minute. Cassius Byrnes short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Albano Unzueta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, USA's Albano Unzueta threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Monty Rogers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dabi Vila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When USA's Cassius Byrne, in the 23rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for USA. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Edward Mcdonald hit a great ball. In the 61st minute of the match USA got a corner. Los once leones Ourense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on USA's corner Cassius Byrne fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albano Unzueta quite easily take care of the ball. Dabi Vila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Cacheres in the 66th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los once leones Ourense getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Leandro Merino hit a great ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 74th minute of play. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 78th minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Sam Campbell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo-Enrique Alabern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 90th minute, Jenson Smith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nereo Cacheres came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Los once leones Ourense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Cacheres couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Campbell in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albano Unzueta saved Los once leones Ourense from getting behind. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when USA's Sam Campbell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
