Jeronimo Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Sirius Dog made a substitution. Matias Azibar replaced Emiliano Oliviero. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gervasio Chano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gervasio Chano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The throw-in from Milan Svobodník in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Luz Tejedor. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Jeronimo Millan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 64 minutes into the match, Sirius Dog's goalkeeper Jeronimo Millan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. Jeronimo Millan made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Millan having to interfere. Gervasio Chano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeronimo Millan. That made the score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. When Gervasio Chano came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sirius Dog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Chano couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sirius Dog defense, Rafael Gallo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeronimo Millan. The Sirius Dog fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeronimo Millan should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Sirius Dog's Terje Sundberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Millan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
