Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Feliciano Christobal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. Alvaro Chesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through KIRICOCHO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvaro Chesus. In the 16th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that KIRICOCHO FC's Alvaro Chesus managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Alvaro Chesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Juan Bartoleme hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, KIRICOCHO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alvaro Chesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 27 minutes on the clock, Felix Montes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KIRICOCHO FC:s goal. 28 minutes into the game, KIRICOCHO FC's Teodosio Herena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. KIRICOCHO FC's Alvaro Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Chesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KIRICOCHO FC's Alvaro Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 39th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Chesus having to interfere. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alvaro Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Chesus having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Herena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alvaro Chesus. That made the score 2-2 in the 54 minute of play. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alvaro Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind KIRICOCHO FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Chesus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Chesus. KIRICOCHO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Alvaro Chesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Chesus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Chesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Luis Andino fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Luis Andino a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in KIRICOCHO FC's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Chesus came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Chesus having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Escobar during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes KIRICOCHO FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Escobar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Chesus having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Christobal in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
