The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. Léo de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Castro in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Reis came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas de Souza came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léo de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Douglas de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Reis in the 35th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Castro in the 36th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidnei Dionísio's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas de Souza made a kick off. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas de Souza in the 52nd minute. With an all-out effort, Floresta Club U18's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilmar Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 58 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Léo de Brito saved Floresta Club U18 from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Cambeiro came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Douglas de Souza sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes, Floresta Club U18's Remo da Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Floresta Club U18 reached it. 78 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Castro came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Ros's late challenge caught a Floresta Club U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Ruy da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Léo de Brito came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
