In the 8th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 9 minutes, Gilmar Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floresta Club U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The excitement rose when Floresta Club U18's Ruy da Rocha after 14 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Costa Rica's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Floresta Club U18's Tomé Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Douglas de Souza took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 27thth minute of the game Douglas de Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Ruy da Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Floresta Club U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. In the 47th minute, Tomé Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floresta Club U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Tomé Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Floresta Club U18's Douglas de Souza shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-10 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Floresta Club U18 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Douglas de Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Reis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Floresta Club U18's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
