Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Village Saint Charles FRC's Desiderio Montel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Desiderio Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Desiderio Montel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Desiderio Montel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 63rd minute, Gerasimos Tzanetakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Herensuge came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Llorienzo Varela who took care of the corner kick. After 69 played minutes Village Saint Charles FRC got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Blomqvist. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Montel having to interfere. Village Saint Charles FRC's Pedro Luiz da Rocha was substituted for 严傲飞. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 80th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Llorienzo Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Village Saint Charles FRC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Telo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-1 became the score in the 95th minute when Bernardino Telo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Village Saint Charles FRC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
