Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Maurício Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Maurício Araújo in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Pardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Maurício Araújo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Hector Covarrubias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Floresta Club U18's Maurício Araújo got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Peixoto was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Floresta Club U18's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Araújo came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Maurício Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 81st minute of the match.
