An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play forced ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s goalkeeper Eduardo Chago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santo Martxelin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Cordeara in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
