After having played for 64 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otsando Llantaron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Mario Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ricardo Senio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Digo Simão during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Digo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Mario Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Theobald having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Otsando Llantaron came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Freixa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1.
