Valar morghulis's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Valar morghulis's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rüştü Rencber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute. Rüştü Rencber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Valar morghulis's Rüştü Rencber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Valar morghulis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Valar morghulis's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Valar morghulis's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 21st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rüştü Rencber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Halit Fahri Sayın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüştü Rencber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes Valar morghulis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rüştü Rencber quite easily take care of the ball. When Alberto Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Alberto Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rüştü Rencber. Rüştü Rencber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Valar morghulis's Rüştü Rencber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Valar morghulis from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd match minute, Valar morghulis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İsa Fındık to maneuver through the defense. Rüştü Rencber made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Battal Cüneyt Oksu came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Valar morghulis's Rüştü Rencber got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 64 minutes Valar morghulis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Rüştü Rencber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 76th minute of the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
