The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with 秦霖星 in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 尹松霆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 高然川 went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 高然川 in the 33rd minute of the match. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. 秦霖星 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 马烽迪's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 马烽迪 helped the player get up and apologised.
