Bartolo Beliran was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Cassius Byrne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cassius Byrne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Carlos Cesaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Cesaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Cesaro went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Monty Rogers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Bartolo Beliran made a huge save. Bartolo Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half MARTINETA were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Cesaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Day. That made the score 1-5 after 56 minutes of play. MARTINETA made a substitution. João Severino replaced Carlos Cesaro. Marco Day was a little too slow when João Severino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-6. 72 minutes into the game, USA's Jacob May nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartolo Beliran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Edward Mcdonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Beliran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, João Severino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Bartolo Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 87th minute of play. The USA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing MARTINETA to win.
