The wind increased when Eduard Hourani made the kick off in the second half. Eduard Hourani in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Hourani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Eduard Hourani managed to get in a good position for a shot. GARIBALDI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Hourani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
