A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvar Öberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard shot 80 in the game by Agustín Saelices from a close distance when the talented Alvar Öberg managed to make a qualified save. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Joachim in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Karlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Karlsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, Club Atletico Rio Tercero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Karlsson to maneuver through the defense. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvar Öberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 95th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atletico Rio Tercero throughout the match.
