The supporters of Samyang Ramen booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo-Erik Apelkvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Alex Wållander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 24th minute of play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Wållander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Bo-Erik Apelkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabrizio Ravanelli replaced Walter Siggman. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Samyang Ramen:s goal. 87 minutes into the game, Göran Nordgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Sam Yang came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Samyang Ramen fans jumped to their feet. In the 91st minute, Fabrizio Ravanelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samyang Ramen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrizio Ravanelli came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samyang Ramen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
