But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Pontes couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Carballar got free with Arne Grabner in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Grabner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Carballar in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Dráuzio Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Falconara Albanese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Colombia booed when Falconara Albanese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráuzio Pontes struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falconara Albanese. 44 minutes into the match, Falconara Albanese's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Arne Grabner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Colombia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Falconara Albanese were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Pontes in the 53rd minute of play. Arne Grabner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Arne Grabner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Abram Secada made a precise shot to the right of Arne Grabner. Falconara Albanese's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4.
