In the 16th minute Gualter Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berbiz Ortiz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Téo Silva in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dick Batum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Gualter Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Téo Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute. Dick Batum made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gualter Pitta. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Luisão Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pereiras FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabrizio Gaudino in the 47th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cido de Andrade got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The wind increased when Patricio Costa made the kick off in the second half. Luisão Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Luisão Linares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. Téo Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Luisão Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Luisão Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pereiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pereiras FC's Arman Melander was substituted for Tekin Ergalip. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Téo Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jardel Nóbrega succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Pereiras FC's Daniel Maia was substituted for Gualter Pitta. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pereiras FC the free kick. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Daniel Maia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Maia slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 90th minute. After 93 played minutes Pereiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Casper Damm. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pereiras FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
