After 13 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dieguinho Cruz who took care of the corner kick. Pascual Pitin made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Hauche came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Negri took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Maní FC's Pascual Pitin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Maní FC from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Pascual Pitin made a huge save. In the 28thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maní FC's Pascual Pitin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chile's Francisco Carballar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pascual Pitin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Xavier Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Pitin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Hauche in the 32nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Wandy Petera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 37th minute of play forced Maní FC's goalkeeper Pascual Pitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pascual Pitin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 50th minute Jose Manzanedo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Chile made a substitution. Alberto Nores replaced Jose Manzanedo. In the 52nd minute, Gil Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Gentenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Pitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maní FC's Pascual Pitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Maní FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Pascual Pitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascual Pitin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Konrad Rzegotka threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Francisco Carballar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Maní FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pascual Pitin. The Maní FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascual Pitin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Gabriel Hauche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Mariano Lacasa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maní FC's Pascual Pitin did a great save. Maní FC's Pascual Pitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pascual Pitin quite easily take care of the ball. Chile's attentive Francisco Carballar managed to snatch the ball when Konrad Rzegotka made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Francisco Carballar's late challenge caught a Maní FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. Francisco Carballar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maní FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
