An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 25th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Vicente Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Ayuntamiento CF's Vicente Berto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Berto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 34th match minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Erramun to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Beat made a kick off. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Vicente Berto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 52nd minute of play. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Vicente Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Real Ayuntamiento CF booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras played a much better game than Real Ayuntamiento CF and deserved their victory. The Real Ayuntamiento CF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
