The audience was convinced that Cipriano Illan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Oscar Quinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Quinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Christian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was a well-played corner which Esteban Carvallo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 27 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Diagur. Abdurrezzak Tankut struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. If Abdurrezzak Tankut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Christian Sancho hit a great ball. The FC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Feliciano Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Cipriano Illan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Oscar Quinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdurrezzak Tankut scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Oscar Quinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Quinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Cipriano Illan. But to his dismay, Cipriano Illan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Honduras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Barcelona's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Barcelona.
