The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feliciano Baumar was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Scofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alto Roca to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Scofield booed when Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Scofield got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Figueroa. Scofield's Cayetano Urdin was substituted for Feliciano Baumar. Cayetano Urdin took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Suarez. Baldomero Suarez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alvaro Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Le Tissier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Urdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Baldomero Suarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Urdin in the 90th minute of the match. Scofield were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Lanús's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alto Roca took the corner. Scofield's Alto Roca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baldomero Suarez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eloy Gaskon in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Valente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Scofield getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Roberto-Carlos Brasil hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Jake Hursey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Valente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
