Roberto Puch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquiles Ellande having to make a save. Aquiles Ellande made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Roberto Puch sent off a good shot on target. Baldomero Suarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piara Gerli in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, VAMO ARRIBA's goalkeeper Aquiles Ellande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Puch. Aquiles Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Puch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Puch might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquiles Ellande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Puch ran back to his position shaking his head. VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Puch in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Roberto Puch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Puch in the 26th minute of play forced VAMO ARRIBA's goalkeeper Aquiles Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lanús's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jake Hursey in the 28th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Jonathan Chien-Kwan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 32nd minute Lanús were awarded a corner. Jake Hursey went to the cornerflag to take it. Aquiles Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Puch in the 35th minute of the match. Baldomero Suarez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Piara Gerli went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Roberto Puch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Lanús made a substitution. Arnaldo Mendebal replaced Esteve Herrera. Lanús's Eloy Gaskon was substituted for Roberto Puch. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Gaskon made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Lanús's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zoltán Battai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Egoitz in the 57th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Baldomero Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Suarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piara Gerli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61stth minute of the game Eloy Gaskon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aquiles Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Gaskon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zoltán Battai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baldomero Suarez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aquiles Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Gaskon in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, one of VAMO ARRIBA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Lanús. Jake Hursey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aquiles Ellande. 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, Eloy Gaskon notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of VAMO ARRIBA's Aquiles Ellande. Aquiles Ellande was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, VAMO ARRIBA's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Gaskon came free, but Aquiles Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, one of VAMO ARRIBA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VAMO ARRIBA. Lanús's Baldomero Suarez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 100th minute of the match, managed to save Lanús from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the VAMO ARRIBA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lanús.
