Roman Mark hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Vicente Berto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Real Ayuntamiento CF's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Vicente Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Ayuntamiento CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th minute of the match, Abraham Alguacil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vicente Berto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vicente Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 29th minute. Vicente Berto made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Vicente Berto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 31st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Berto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Lobo in the 35th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Vicente Berto came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, Real Ayuntamiento CF's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Vicente Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vicente Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Real Ayuntamiento CF's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Vicente Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
