The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniele Paolini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Barry Linklater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rzepiko Wrocław succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
