Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Abel Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the 泾县Red-Star FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a 泾县Red-Star FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 泾县Red-Star FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Lautaro Puig scored to the left of an out of position 唐剑振, making the score, 3-1. In the 46th match minute, 泾县Red-Star FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 杨军景 to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 袁朗辉 to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 唐剑振 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, 袁朗辉 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of 泾县Red-Star FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Costa Rica were victorious despite being under pressure from 泾县Red-Star FC for much of the match.
