If Rolado Guixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Guillen Piñera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Berenjenas de Punto Fijo from getting a goal against them. Guillen Piñera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Leguizamo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Guillen Piñera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillen Piñera having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillen Piñera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillen Piñera. The Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillen Piñera should have stopped the shot. Kaiet Ambrosio hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. El Salvador's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
