Pascual Pitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Pascual Pitin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Gentenaar in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, Maní FC's goalkeeper Pascual Pitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. In the 38thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maní FC's Pascual Pitin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascual Pitin saved Maní FC from getting behind. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil Negri went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Pitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maní FC's Pascual Pitin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. When Rafael Gallo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Gallo couldn't finish the play.
