An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Chorche Viya got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chorche Viya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Chorche Viya. But to his dismay, Chorche Viya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Chorche Viya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chorche Viya got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 14th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. When Chorche Viya came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the La Vieja Guardia Jrs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chorche Viya couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Chorche Viya slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Chorche Viya took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Pedrera in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Carballal during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. La Vieja Guardia Jrs made a substitution. Christiano Alzola replaced Alex Pedrera. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Chorche Viya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chorche Viya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sainz to maneuver through the defense. Chorche Viya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Isias Cembrana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chorche Viya in the 55th minute of the match. Apolo Chica made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Christiano Alzola managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Alzola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Alzola in the 66th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for La Vieja Guardia Jrs. Alberto Camudio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 4-0. Chorche Viya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Maore Astiago was substituted for Isias Cembrana. La Vieja Guardia Jrs made a substitution. Inigo Guceño replaced Froilan Romillo. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Salvatore Villaquilambre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dunixi Cendan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of La Vieja Guardia Jrs booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Camilo Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Vieja Guardia Jrs the free kick. After 95 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. In the 96th minute, Christiano Alzola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. La Vieja Guardia Jrs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
