The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but András Tóth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Delmiro Valente got a free kick in the 7th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Romelio in the 9th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and András Tóth could save by the left post. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Romelio during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Salvador Romelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but András Tóth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luckas Baert in the 24th minute of play. When Anastasio Tibalt fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's protests and gave Anastasio Tibalt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th match minute, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Tibalt to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Salvador Romelio suffered a sore thigh after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 31st minute of the match Dionisio Hug sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of András Tóth, 1-0. In the 38th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Tóth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which András Tóth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. András Tóth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's András Tóth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 58th minute of play. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goalie prevented a goal. After 61st play minutes Alberto Tafalla shot 3-0, a short shot which went by András Tóth and just under the crossbar into goal. 65 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Chaime. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 made a substitution. Generoso Egun replaced Benedicto Cefero. András Tóth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Pastor Rexino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Rexino in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Tóth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luckas Baert in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dionisio Hug was slow to take the kick. During this time StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's players had a chance to rest. In the 83rd minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Tóth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Delmiro Valente got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 84th minute of play forced StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goalkeeper András Tóth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mexico fans cheered their team off the field, for while StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
