The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihail Vaida got free with Julio Vera in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Izydor Wieloch. Izydor Wieloch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Mihail Sinulescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. When Mihail Sinulescu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Julio Vera was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's goalie prevented a goal. The referee ignored BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's protests and gave Romeo Acatincăi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BULDOZERUL SANTA FE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Acatincăi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Izydor Wieloch despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BULDOZERUL SANTA FE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Sung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Izydor Wieloch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Florín Galezu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Vaida in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
