Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Delfim Paraense got the match started through his kick off. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Claudio-Paul Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Paraense in the 14th minute of play. Claudio-Paul Taffarel came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Claudio-Paul Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Paraense in the 27th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Ernesto Farias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd match minute, Inter de Melão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Mazza to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Axel Tasis from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Claudio-Paul Taffarel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Dias in the 38th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Delfim Paraense fired a really elegant long shot, but Benito Sanz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 53 minutes into the match, Inter de Melão's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Claudio-Paul Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter de Melão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After 56 played minutes Inter de Melão got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Mazza. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delfim Paraense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Zachrisson got free with Benito Sanz in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho Valladares in the 68th minute. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Tobias Zachrisson sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Fabinho Valladares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-4. 82 minutes into the match, Delfim Paraense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 1-5. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Delfim Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Delfim Paraense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-6. Inter de Melão's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
