The supporters of Fielzão booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 11th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-0. Kevin Mastache made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fielzão's Afonsinho Zonta. 45 minutes into the game, Abram Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos to make the kick off. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Aparecido made a huge save. Fielzão made a substitution. Ciro de Alcântara replaced Afonsinho Zonta. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Fielzão getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Max Ahlroth hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Arvid Treiner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 92nd minute of play forced Fielzão's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fielzão were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
