Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Fabrício Donato sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateus Favoretto got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michael Baba Bāba-Siltais came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Mateus Favoretto could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Lautaro Navarro however easily saved by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sebastian Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Michael Baba Bāba-Siltais made a huge save. Sebastian Villa in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Jägermeister FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jägermeister FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
