After 9 minutes, Jorge Figueiras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mar-azul and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estevão Lemos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Estevão Lemos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute. Jorge Figueiras thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Estevão Lemos, a very annoying self made goal in the 17th minute which led to 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Pacheco in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Estevão Lemos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estevão Lemos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. mar-azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 35thth minute of the game Murilo Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Turan Ayberk hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Estevão Lemos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Fernandes to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Estevão Lemos made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Estevão Lemos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 59 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 61st minute. Estevão Lemos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estevão Lemos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. mar-azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Estevão Lemos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Estevão Lemos made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Estevão Lemos, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estevão Lemos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 彭枫迪 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, mar-azul's 彭枫迪 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ahmet Turan Ayberk was slow to take the kick. During this time mar-azul's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to 彭枫迪. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ecuador played a much better game than mar-azul and deserved their victory. The mar-azul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
