The audience was convinced that Fausto Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Naldo Proença in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raigo Vananurm hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Naldo Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Fausto Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença. Naldo Proença was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fausto Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-3 after 65 minutes of play. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Proença came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Edward Krzynowek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Edward Krzynowek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Raigo Vananurm hit a great ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute of the match. Naldo Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play. Naldo Proença stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
