The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halil Can İhtiyar in the 20th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Emirşah Davutoğlu in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chile's Pedro Indiano. Battal Seyyit Bedel came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halil Can İhtiyar in the 32nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Battal Seyyit Bedel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semail Ercan in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edoardo Pelliccia was slow to take the kick. During this time Kurfalı SK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Edoardo Pelliccia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. Battal Seyyit Bedel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semail Ercan in the 40th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Fontirroig hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The Kurfalı SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Semail Ercan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Battal Seyyit Bedel made a huge save. Battal Seyyit Bedel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Tolga Oğuralp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Edoardo Pelliccia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Battal Seyyit Bedel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The supporters of Chile booed when Kurfalı SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Pelliccia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurfalı SK's Adil Ortun managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Garrido in the 80 minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Kurfalı SK's Halil Can İhtiyar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Battal Seyyit Bedel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
