Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 17th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Bilbo Arzube reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bilbo Arzube narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Juventus EC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Luís Ramalho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Juventus EC's Luís Ramalho got a free kick in the 48th minute. The Juventus EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Bilbo Arzube in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Juventus EC's goalie and right to Milagros Fraga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Juventus EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Milagros Fraga did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Bilbo Arzube 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Perez came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rosendo Gervaso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Rosendo Gervaso put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso.
