The supporters of El Salvador booed when SESI UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 25th play minute Bakhar Mkheidze came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ricardo Zorita. 2-0. Cristiano Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tincho Palermo in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenílson Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Matorin in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Matorin took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. If 邱永志 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by 邱永志 in the 92nd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SESI UNITED fully deserved thier win.
