Ivan Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Regis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Guillermo Telesforo made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Teobaldo Dantel kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Daniel Chan made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Teobaldo Dantel immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Bertran in the 31st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Ivan Rey put in a rough tackle. 35 minutes into the game, one of CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!!:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Honduras a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Espiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!!'s Benito Regis. 0-1. 40 minutes into the game, Honduras's Sebastian Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Regis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!! made a substitution. Fausto Sidoro replaced Julian Santiago. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teobaldo Dantel kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Daniel Chan made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. After 64 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. When Everardo Quilo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Quilo couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Eladio struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!!. Moises Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Regis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. When Teobaldo Dantel came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the CAÑONCITOO OO OO O !!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Dantel couldn't finish the play. Anastasio Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Guillermo Telesforo made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Daniel Chan however managed to control. Benito Regis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Benito Regis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Cloyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
