After 2 played minutes SESI UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Matorin. In the 7th minute, Cristiano Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SESI UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When 邱永志 came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SESI UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 邱永志 couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tincho Palermo in the 11th minute of the match. Lenílson Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes SESI UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Bakhar Mkheidze. Lenílson Soeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tincho Palermo in the 19th minute of play. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 邱永志 in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. The SESI UNITED fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when SESI UNITED's Cristiano Matorin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. In the 37th minute, Fernandão Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, one of SESI UNITED:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SESI UNITED. With a little luck, SESI UNITED's Lenílson Soeiro got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tincho Palermo in the 45th minute of the match. SESI UNITED's Lenílson Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save SESI UNITED from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Fernandão Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of SESI UNITED's Lenílson Soeiro. Lenílson Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd minute 邱永志 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 邱永志 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 74 played minutes, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lenílson Soeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. 邱永志 charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 邱永志 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SESI UNITED's 邱永志 got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 83 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Cristiano Matorin took a quick shot and it went in 6-3 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. After 92 played minutes Cristiano Matorin rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 6-4. Cristiano Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Costa Rica support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
