After 21 played minutes Lake Wales FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarvis Whitney. Rinto Kalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacy Kitchen in the 47th minute of play. Lake Wales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garth Wray in the 48th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Panama's goalie and right to Danial Salter. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Panama's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Chung stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Lake Wales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Helton to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Panama's Abraham Alguacil tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rinto Kalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Salter came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when Lake Wales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarvis Whitney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Lake Wales FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Lake Wales FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ian Chung hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danial Salter went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Lake Wales FC made a substitution. Toby Ruiz replaced Ian Chung. Lake Wales FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
