A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Best Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Best Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Best Taffarel. Muqui FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Best Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Best Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muqui FC's Best Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabi Orange's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabi Orange stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 64 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muqui FC's Best Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Best Taffarel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Best Taffarel. That made the score 2-3 in the 71 minute of play. Muqui FC's Gláuber Pinho was substituted for Matheus Brodel. In the 77th minute Muqui FC were awarded a corner. Mauro Eate went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mauro Eate got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
