Durval de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durval de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Chico de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Mexhit Koçi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chico de Sousa to make the kick off. Dobromir Zagrodny charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dobromir Zagrodny the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 50th minute, Dobromir Zagrodny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mexhit Koçi to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, David Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59thth minute of the game Chico de Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Jovens Democratas MZC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Saldanha. The Jovens Democratas MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang was substituted for Chico de Sousa. Xu Li Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dalmo Saldanha. Dalmo Saldanha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens Democratas MZC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xu Li Sang went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xu Li Sang in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
