Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Ekain in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Ekain in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Rene Llorian in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Ekain in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Hourani came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Hourani in the 21st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Eduard Hourani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Ekain in the 27th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Llorian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Hourani kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Hourani in the 38th minute of play. Abel Carballo made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aaron Alcocer immediately put the ball in play. In the 44th minute Eduard Hourani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Lázaro Ekain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Jacinto did an outstanding performance 49 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Benito Sanz in the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, GARIBALDI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Alcocer came free, but Rene Llorian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Lázaro Ekain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 83rd minute of play forced GARIBALDI FC's goalkeeper Rene Llorian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GARIBALDI FC made a substitution. Nicolas Eduino replaced Raul Transito. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Ekain in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Ekain in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded GARIBALDI FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
